Andrew Hout, Modulo’s Senior Project Manager, will show how institutions can tackle security leaks caused by third-parties

Vendor Risk Management has become a priority for companies to effectively manage the information provided to third parties since vendors and partners have access to the same information as internal employees. The problems arise when the outsourcing company does not monitor their vendors or partners. This lack of monitoring can cause major problems such as leaks involving customers' and workers’ personal data, confidential business information and other issues.

“There has been growing regulatory review all over the world as financial institutions increase the number and scope of these relationships and the number of breaches of these third parties has multiplied”, explains Andrew Hout, Modulo’s Senior Project Manager and specialist in vendor risk management.

On October 16th at 9 am, Mr. Hout will be leading a lecture, at ISACA IT GRC Conference 2009, on how organizations can control the key activities for an effective management process improving their diligence in selection, contracting, supervising and monitoring third parties.

The event counts with Modulo and six other exhibitors to demonstrate the current and biggest challenges faced by companies interested in maximizing their outsourcing program, including issues regarding best practices for outsourcing during an economical period that is constantly changing.

ISACA IT GRC Conference will take place at M Resort, Spa and Casino, in Henderson – Nevada, from October 14th to 16th and will show the best practices and guidance related to IT governance, risk and compliance (GRC).
