The solution will be presented during the Technology Solutions Show for the public sector

Brazilian company Modulo Security Solutions, Latin American leader in Information Security, will take part in the Information Technology and Communication Solutions Applied to the Public Sector Show, in Brazilian capital, Braslia, from March 15 to March 17. The show will take place at the Blue Tree Hotel, and will address issues like Government and Policies, Citizens and Users, International Cooperation, and Technology and Processes.

Modulo will have a stand at the event, where it will present the main changes and new features of Risk Manager™ - a Brazilian-born software program for risk assessment and Information Security knowledge management. The highlights are the new checklists available, the new automatic collectors and the Appliance Check-Up.

Risk Manager™ allows organizations to identify and evaluate their main security problems, as well as to define priorities and recommendations on how to solve them. The system helps companies by improving their security teams' performance and autonomy, and by assisting professionals working in the technology, auditing, risk management, compliance and legal areas. Risk Manager™ has a Portuguese interface and is an evolution of the tool which has been used by Modulo since 2000. It fully conforms to international standards such as ISO/IEC 17799, COBIT, COSO and ISO Guide 73.

Appliance Risk Manager™
At the event in Braslia, Modulo will be launching the Appliance Risk Manager™. Ready-configured with Risk Manager™'s specifications and user licenses, the Appliance is an integrated piece of equipment for corporate security management, and comes with Risk Manager™ and its entire operating environment properly installed and configured. It is a piece of hardware that can be acquired along with the Risk Manager™ risk assessment software program, and has been developed to be an easy and inexpensive way to integrate the benefits of Risk Manager™ into any system and into any company's reality. The Appliance Risk Manager™ is compact, can be easily installed and requires no further configuration.

The Risk Manager™ development team and the Modulo Security Lab have provided the system with new checklists. There are now more than 6000 controls and 1200 automatic collectors in 100 different types of checklists that comprise technology, people and processes in Information Security.

The checklists for Cisco Routers, Linux, Microsoft Operating System and Web Servers have all received new versions, which are already available for update. Clients can update their systems automatically using the Live Update option available in the Risk Manager™ system (www.modulo.com).
