Background
The Brazilian Federal Data Processing Service (SERPRO) is the largest
government-owned information technologies services company in Brazil.
Established in 1964 to modernize and ease strategic public administration
sectors, SERPRO is linked to the Ministry of Treasury. The company is
responsible for developing programs and services which allow better control
and transparency of public income and expenses. It is present in more than
330 Brazilian municipalities, operating in the public finances sector of the
Ministry of Treasury and in the structured and integrating actions of the
Federal Public Administration, which is composed by the Ministry of
Planning, Budget and Management, and extends to other government
agencies.

mitigate risks in its internal environment, and to
